　　在雅思英语作文中，如何正确地用英语表达时间，是考生必须掌握的知识。时间表达的正确使用应坚持如下2个原则：
　　准确性，即所有时间表达应该符合英语语法规则。如 in 1990, 而不是 on 1990
　　多样性，即在作文中应该尝试使用不同的时间表达短语，而不应总是使用同一结构。如不应在整篇文章中，反复重复使用in 1990, in 2000这一结构。
　　在表达年份或月份时，可以使用介词in表达“在某一年（月）或某几年（月）”，例如：
　　in (the year )1971
　　in around 1971
　　in January
　　in 1971-72 = in 1971-1972
　　in the following year
　　in (the years)1987 and 1991
　　in 1975, 1979 and 1983
　　in three separate years:1981, 1991 and 2001
　　in all three years
　　in January and July
　　还可使用介词by，表示“到某一年（月）为止”，例如：
　　by (the year) 2007
　　by September
　　by the end of the year (month)
