　　在雅思听力中，代词是非常重要的，尤其在填空题中。因为它们往往讲在前文中指代了我们题干中重要的信息，而这一类的词在我们听文章的时候很有可能会被忽略或者没有听出来所指代的信息，就会导致我们在听文章的时候导致不必要的丢分。
　　首先，我们先来了解一下雅思听力中代词的分类
　　1）人称代词
　　单数：I, you, he, she, it,
　　复数：we, you, they
　　宾格单数：me，you， him，her，it
　　宾格复数：us，you，them
　　2）物主代词
　　单数：my，your，his，her，its
　　复数：mine，yours，his，hers，its
　　3）指示代词
　　this，that，these，those
　　让我们通过12-3-4 的几道题来看一下，代词在雅思听力中的作用。
　　例题1：指示代词：
　　题干句：It has also recently been found to affect birds which feed on _______________
　　对应原文句: what wasn't known until quite recently is that those that eat insects can also be affected
　　在此题题干中“ birds which feed on ______”， 吃“____”什么的birds。
　　在原文中， those 指代了前文中的birds，
　　除此之外，在此题中还要注意文章当中出现的
　　主动语态和被动语态的替换:
　　affect sth. — sth. be affected；
　　以及同义词的替换：
　　recently been found to — wasn't known until quite recently ；
　　feed on — eat
　　例题2：物主代词：
　　题干句：the effects on bird song (usually learned from a bird’s _______________ )
　　对应原文句: And she's particularly focusing on the effects of mercury on bird song. Now, the process of song learning happens at a particular stage in the birds' development, and what you may not know is that a young bird seems to acquire this skill by listening to the songs produced by its father, rather than by any other bird.
　　在此题中 its 指代了前文中的 young bird , 替换了题干中的bird’s.
　　在此题中的同义词替换：learned from — acquire this skill
　　例题3：人称代词：
　　题干句：songs learned by birds exposed to mercury are less _______________
　　对应原文句: And Varian-Ramos has already found in her research that if young male birds are exposed to mercury, if they eat food contaminated with mercury , then the songs they produce aren't ascomplex as those produced by other birds.
　　在此题中，注意代词 they指代了前面的 young male birds 替换了题目中的birds。
　　除此之外，还要去注意比较级的考法：
　　be more… / less … 可能替换成 not as…as… 或者是 rather than...
