  Task2
I disagree with the statement that modern people have healthier lifestyles than people did a hundred years ago. Although people have access to different kinds of fitness facilities, modern people lead a sedentary lifestyle. Firstly, people are preoccupied with their work. In order to survive at the workplace, they have to sit for a long time to deal with their work. Secondly, because of the increasing ownership of private cars, most people drive a lot and have fewer opportunities to engage in physical activity. As a result, they are more likely to put on weight.
  Task3
The university plans to prevent students from putting up posters outside the student center because this can improve the campus's appearance and students can display posters in the dining hall. The woman disagrees with this plan for two reasons. Firstly, the posters work as great ornaments on concrete walls of the building. In other words, the posters give the building personality. Secondly, since students bring lunch from home and eat outside under the trees, it is useless to display posters in the dining center for the purpose of publicising events or something like that.
  Task4
The reading passage describes warning coloration, which means that animals display distinct coloring in order to signal predators of the presence of defenses. The professor takes skunks as an example. The animals live in North america and are characterized by a stripe running from the head to the tail. The trait is visible to other species of animals. Besiedes, skunks have glands under the tail that produce a liquid with a foul odor. When skunks perceive approaching predators, they lift the tail and spray the predators with the liquid, driving the predators away. The sight of creatures with a stripe makes predators recall the foul-smelling liquid, so the predators attempt to stay away.
  Task6
The professor illustrates the reason why people remember some things better than other things when trying to remember the past. One explanation is that people with previous knowLEDge can memorize things well. For example, after the concert, people without previous knowledge about classical music might forget specific details of the concert. By contrast, for people with previous knowledge, it's easy to remember the works played by the orchestra. Another explanation is that people are impressed by unusual things. For example, students who are in a big class are more likely to remeber unusual classmates, who are exceptionally tall or intelligent.
