　　Although showing no interest at the beginning, I was invited by Mr. Li, who was so enthusiastic that (太热情以至于) I could barely say no. Therefore, I accepted his kind invitation reluctantly, with a hope (希望，表伴随) that heavy rain could come in time so that the morning reading would be canceLED.
　　Unfortunately, my childish wish failed me(未能如愿), and I got up at half past six the next morning. Soon after I got up, I joined the morning reading along with other invitees. During the whole morning, we were absorbed in intensive reading and listening practices, and previewed the knowledge scheduled to be taught next week. Well,
　　I will not deny the fact that when I first got up at half past six, I was not feeling great since I was sleepy and weary. However, as the morning reading went on, I found myself in a rewarding environment where I was able to memorize what I learned and discover new knowledge, which was impossible back in the days(在之前的日子里) when I slept until 12 o’clock. What I am saying is, I felt it was worthwhile getting up so early and I felt like I should have gotten up that early long ago.
