Helen:So far, we've approached journalists via personal and telephone contacts. But as more and more journalists are obtaininginformation straight from companies'websites rather than waiting for press releases, we probably can take advantage of internet communicating with the media as well. Nancy:I can't agree with you more. That's why Iam considering updating our company's webpage and drafting a mission statement which incorporates our company's objectives.
Helen: Mission statement? Do you have anything particular in mind?
Nancy:Well, I invited ideas from board members and brain stormed the main points with our public relations staff when you were absent. Finally, we came up with one which goes like this, “In one decade of doing business, we hake been keenly a ware of our responsibilities as a corporate citizen. We know that our own business will be stronger if the communities, where our existing and future customers like and work,are stable and healthy.”
