Throughout my life I have been lucky to have a good relationship with my parents. They have supported me,given me necessary criticism, and taught me a great deal about how to live my life. Indeed, parents can be very important teachers in our lives. However, whether they are the best teachers is questionable.（高分理由:以自己的例子引出话题，使人颇感亲切，有心人不妨一试。）。
Parents may be too close to their children emotionally. Sometimes they can only see their children through the eyes of a protector. They may limit their children' s freedom in the name of safety. Another problem is that parents may expect their children' s interests to be similar to theirs. If they love writing, for example, they might try to force their children to follow suit. But they forget that society has undergone tremendous changes. What is valued by the parents might not be embraced by the children. For example, many Chinese people prefer to have an extended family with several generations under one roof. Most youngsters, however, think it unacceptable because they prioritise freedom and independence in their importance of parents as teachers can never be denied.
